Well I offered to take the FRANZIA Merlot home with my box of FRANZIA Sunset Blush and have been working on ways to make the FRANZIA Merlot tolerable to drink with minimal effort. I really enjoy Franzia boxed wine because it is cheap and easy to find nearly anywhere. Its great to grab if youre having a lot of people over.
Its not my FAVORITE wine Ive ever had but its definitely better than average. Would definitely purchase again. Sunset Blush with hints of strawberry is perfect when served chilled.

To be honest we werent really wowed by any of the white wines but we found this boxed wine to be crisp refreshing and the most straight-from-the-bottle convincing. A five-liter box most boxed wines are only three liters costs less than 20 that comes out to 059 per glass. But outside of the amazing price Franzias Dark Red Blend also impressed us with its rich bouquet.
Slightly dry this red blend also gave us some earthier flavors accompanied by subtle notes of currants. Proudly produced from California grapes this wine is very agreeable on the palate and proves boxed wine is a force to be reckoned with. Bold with balanced acidity and notes of black cherry black plum pepper spice and blueberry.
I was actually shocked that Franzias red wine beat out Vellas. If theres one thing Franzia does right its their Chilled Red. I felt as classy as you can feel while drinking a sample of boxed wine out of a shot glass.

Franzia changed something and their wine went from pretty good to absolutely awful. I am not a wine snob but also I am no fool. I have over 40-years experience enjoying wine with meals.
